this never ending
story;
Bowing out.
December 31, 2009 11:12:00 PM

In 3 hours and 49 minutes, 2009 will be officially over.

It's been a really fast year. So everyone says. But I'm not everyone. It only felt fast, it wasn't really. I mean, I can totally remember the times that I wished December would come already, so I could come back to Malaysia. The delirious anticipation of holidays.

The holidays were especially fast.

A day of many lasts. The last basketball game until next year. The last day of eating mamak with my friends. The last day of 2009. The last 8th hour of 2009. I could go on forever, but we all know what I'm on about.

I end 2009 with no regrets. Just alot of shouldve's.

Anything special this year?

No, not really. I just made a bunch of new friends, got a guitar for my birthday, got my digital protrait into the school magazine, got an Academic Award in school, ended my squash training career, and played basketball like there was no tomorrow. And got through exams without a scratch (just the tiniest scrape). And found out who my real friends were (gee, that sounds so deep). And played Band Hero for the very first time. And attended 2 marriage registrations 2 days in a row. And started a fanfic (which I wanted to finish before 2009 ended, but no hope now).

Oh, and watched a movie almost alone with an important person. :)

What more could I ask for?

Can I please not go back to Australia?

*Sigh.

So 2009 ends... and 2010 begins. We've finally reached the first decade of the 21st century.

Gosh we're slow.

Slowly healing from the after effects of local anaesthesia. Root canal work is a pain. Not literally, not when I can't feel my left cheek-lip-gum-teeth. Bad english, but who cares?

Just like Christmas. Doesn't feel like New Years Eve.

At least I know there'll be no surprises.

And so I bow out.

Bye 2009.

It was nice knowing you.

[insert heart icon]

All the unsaid words.

Two is better than One
December 29, 2009 11:59:00 PM

Two is Better Than One - Boys Like Girls ft Taylor Swift

I remember what you wore on our first day
You came into my life and I thought "Hey"
You know this could be something.
'Cause everything you do and words you say
You know that it all takes my breath away
And now I'm left with nothing.

So maybe it's true, I can't live without you
And maybe two is better than one
But there's so much time to figure out the best in my life
And you've already got me coming undone

So I'm thinking two is better than one.

I remember every look upon your face
The way you roll your eyes, the way you taste
You make it hard for breathing.
'Cause when I close my eyes and drift away
I think of you and everything's okay
And finally now, believing.

And maybe it's true, that I can't live without you
Well, maybe two is better than one
But there's so much time to figure out the best in my life
And you've already got me coming undone
So I'm thinking two is better than one.

I remember what you wore on our first day
You came into my life and I thought "Hey".

Maybe it's true that I can't live without you
Maybe two is better than one
But there's so much time, to figure out the best in my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking

Ooooh, I can't live without you
'Cause baby two is better than one
There's so much time to figure out the best in my life
And I've figured out with all that's said and done
Two, is better than one.

Two, is better than one.

♥ BLG.

Jingle Bells are ringing.
December 25, 2009 8:59:00 PM

Merry Christmas!

Selamat Hari Natal!........... .

メリークリスマス !

........ 즐거운 성탄절 되세요!

圣诞快乐!

You have NO idea how long it took for me to do that ^

But all for the readers. :) Whatever little readers, I have, I'm just grateful that I have readers.

*

It's Christmas! You know, the time of giving and taking, family and friends, and generally being happy, with the exception of the smallest little swear word uttered every now and then, because swearing has become an integral part of our lives, whether we like it or not.

Christmas this year has been quiet. Probably because the aunt who usually makes things happen isn't in the country at the moment, and there's another aunt and uncle who are in Australia (just when we come back). -.-

But at least we got what we wanted. Well, my sis did at least. ;) But I wanted it and I got it for her... so win-win situation.

*Sings ManManHaNi [만만하니].

LOL.

I seem to be embracing my inner boy these days. I've only been wearing one earring in one ear. And been begging my mum to let me pierce double... but I've been doing that since 2007. Sigh.

My favourite pair of shorts are.. like guy shorts. As in they come down to my knees. Belt included (but that's because they're really falling down). I like showing the belt LOL.

I'm considering cutting my hair even shorter than it is now. :)

And thinner. Because I'm sick of having a mop for a hair. A sticky-out mop, at that. but it currently resembles... a pau. Or bao, whatever you want to call it.

This is a pau.
Google 'Char siew pau' if you want more pictures. :P

Well, I'm off to my cousin's wedding registration dinner now.

Another one tomorrow. Fun.

Ciao for now.

Merry Christmas everyone! ♥

All K-pop.
December 23, 2009 10:40:00 PM

I have a new fetish: Discovering new K-pop boy bands.

Well, new to me, that is.

So far I've become obsessed with U-Kiss and SS501... in ONE day. I downloaded Love Like This last night. Haven't listened to anything since. Call me a late riser, but I had a serious aversion to SS501 last time. But then again, I had a serious aversion to DBSK and Super Junior before... now they're one of my greatest obsessions. The tables have turned.

Plus, I heard Nobody (the English version) on radio the other day... I got shocked. But Malaysia music is really based on what they play in the US... and they're playing Wonder Girls in the US. Go Wonder Girls!

My personal K-pop update today:
Watched the Love Like This and DejaVu MVs non stop since coming back from shopping... which means ANOTHER day of no homework. Sigh. But homework isn't related to K-pop...I'll do some tonight. I swear.

Watched 만만하니 by U-Kiss... on repeat too. KiBum looks nothing like Hyung Jun. But it might have been the dark clothes, background, and the blue hair that threw me off. I'll try and get a normal picture so I can compare them. DongHo does not look like a freaking 15 year old. Nice dance though. :)

Sister downloading Wasteland and Obsessed by SS501... and I'm downloading 만만하니 and Deja Vu. Don't try to stop me.

General K-pop update:
Don't go HanKyung, don't...!

Forever 13(+2)!

December 21, 2009 10:33:00 PM

NO, HANKYUNG, NOOOOO!!!!

What are you doing?!

Why are you doing this?!

You LOVE Super Junior!

They're your family! You told EunHyuk you loved him!

WHY ARE YOU LEAVING?!

Please don't do this... You're breaking our hearts.

Can you bear Super Junior to break up? At the peak of their career?

Please clear it up. Please don't leave.

Super Junior will never be the same without you. They function as a whole. Even without KiBum and KangIn right now, you can see they're a bit broken.

You know it.

Do you want Super Junior to fall apart because of you?

Basuketoboru :D
9:55:00 PM

Today shall just be about the current obsession in my life right now: basketball.

Shocked?

It will be until the others start school, then my basketball season is over.

Today's game was probably the most interesting one out of all of them. How many have I played so far...? To count... 4. Which is weird, because I feel like I've been playing everyday, when I really haven't.

Anyway... today. Today was the funnest. And also the day with the most casualties. We also played with a total stranger. ;)

*All written in third person.
Casualty #1: Yin and Ai
Ai saw the ball coming. She also saw Yin coming at her. She jumped, and so did Yin. They both collided in the air, Ai's hip hitting Yin's hip hard. She caught the ball while Yin stumbled off to one side, clutching her hip and moaning. It hurt like hell.

Casualty #2: Nisa and Hsien
Annisa stared at the boy that had just entered the basketball court. He seemed familiar to her somehow, yet she couldn't place where she had seen him before. If she had ever seen him before. He looked like one of her friends. Hsien thought that Nisa was staring at her, because the boy was behind her, and she threw the ball at her. Nisa saw the ball coming, acting quickly to catch it, but it slipped through her fingers and hit her in the mouth. And she wore braces.

Casualty #3: Loong and Wen
Loong was caught. Ai was right in front of him, waving her hands in front his face to block him. He saw an opening with Wen right in the middle of it. He took the chance and passed the ball to her. She missed it and it hit her in the mouth. "We're all cursed!" yelled Yin. "Nisa has cursed us! Jampi!" She couldn't stop laughing.

Casualty #4: Ai and Yin (again!)
Ai and Yin went for the ball. Ai caught it but Yin knocked it out of her hand. They both lunged towards it, and Ai stumbled and fell. She'd grazed her knee a bit but it didn't hurt that much. "That's karma," said Yin with a smile, pulling her to her feet. She then ran to the hoop and scored.

Casualty #5: Nisa and Ai (Poor Ai!)
Nisa saw an opening and threw the ball to Ai. Ai wasn't prepared for it, she was thinking about other things, mainly on getting past the opponent in front of her. As Nisa threw the ball to her, she ran forward. The ball slid past her and hit her right in the chest. It hurt like hell. She massaged it, trying not to look so self-conscious, but Nisa was just making it funnier by trying to help her and Loong wouldn't stop laughing.

Casualty #6: Hsien and Yin (Yin again!)
Hsien caught the ball and Yin was chasing her. Yin gave up and started running backwards, but their feet tangled and Hsien crashed to the ground. Yin fell on her, Hsien's shoe digging into her thigh. The sisters rolled around on the ground, yelling at each other. Hsien felt like she'd injured her ankle and Yin felt like she had a huge scratch on her thigh.

Then Loong decided to be smart and asked the guy who Nisa was staring at to play with us. He was like PRO. We were so nooby (and we purposely put Nisa and him on the same team ^^) In the end we ajak-ed him to come to breakfast with us. It was pretty weird because he talked so much. And he was one year older than us, only he looked younger.

Dear Mr President.
December 20, 2009 6:57:00 PM

Message to the government/Prime Minister:

STOP BUILDING NEW APARTMENTS. You keep building them and no-one's buying them. You know why people aren't buying them? Because they can't afford them. And DON'T give me any bull**** about you not building them, it's the contractors and s**t, because your ministry obviously has to approve them. Think you're modernizing the country? THINK AGAIN.

STOP TEARING DOWN HILLS FOR YOUR FREAKING PROJECTS. HALF THE TIME THEY DON'T GET FINISHED ANYWAY. AND YOU DON'T NEED ANYMORE FREAKIN APARTMENTS/CONDOMINIUMS, YOU'RE DESTROYING THE SKYLINE. AND THEY LOOK LIKE CRAP.

STOP CUTTING DOWN THE TREES AND DESTROYING FORESTS JUST FOR YOUR STUPID BUILDINGS. YOU DESTROYED A FREAKIN MOUNTAIN JUST TO BUILD A NEW AGONG'S PALACE, WHEN HE ALREADY HAS ONE ANYWAY! AND THE NEW ONE IS CRAP! IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF A KAMPUNG!

STOP GOING ON ABOUT STOPPING GLOBAL WARMING. MY FOOT. The day we stop Global Warming in Malaysia (and I couldn't give a crap on who knows I'm in Malaysia anymore) is the day corruption stops in this God-forsaken country.

Which, for your information, is NEVER going to happen unless you, Dato' Seri Mohd. Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, clear out your whole government and start again from scratch.

I know I'm in no position to say this, because I have no idea (but I think I do) of how tiresome and frustrating and long this process will be, but let's face it, you're not getting anywhere trying to flush out corruption, because everyone is freaking corrupted.

I meant to just stay on topic of not building anymore apartments, but I got carried away.

Thank You.

And this isn't the last you hear of me.

Euphoria.
6:34:00 PM

And let the screaming begin.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I BOUGHT SUPER SHOW!!!! AND BIG BANG'S LIVE CONCERT!!! THREE OF THEM IN ONE CD!!! AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!

*dies.

And now we are nice and calm.

Just have to wait til Christmas for my sis to open it so we can watch it.

Sometimes I hate surprises.

Will have to record her reaction though. :)

*Excited.....!

*

Went to the Curve/Ikano/Ikea/Cineleisure today.

In Ikano I saw this guy dressed as a clown walking around, shoulders slumped. He looked really sad. He also looked younger than me.

I felt really really sad for him. So did he.

Wouldn't you be sad if you were a teenage boy walking around a mall dressed as a clown? Especially if you were hoping to pick up some girls while you were at it. I mean, come on dude, you were wearing more make up then I've ever worn in my life.

Must have been really desperate huh?

-

In The Curve, there was this guy under the Christmas display rotunda who was dressed as an angel. Not just any angel, but a gold one. And when I say gold, I mean GOLD.

Gold skin, gold hair, gold toga, gold wings... and gold tights.

Ick.

I felt even worse for him than the poor boy-clown.

Some people must be really hard up on jobs this time of the year.

Is procrastination a sin?
12:33:00 PM

If so, I'm terribly unworthy of heaven.

*

Basketball is addictive. Especially when you're playing with your best friends. It also helps when everyone is a complete noob because... it's just more fun.

Swollen little finger.

But worth it.

*

I can't be bothered doing anything right now, but homework (still!) calls.

I should start sleeping early(er).

Gah.

*

I'm sorry, but I feel the urge to list my favourite(s) out of whatever K-pop band that I listen to.

Bear with my little treat before I retreat into the world of maths.

K-pop is ♥
Super Junior - EunHyuk. DongHae. KyuHyun. HanKyung. YeSung. (but everyone is ♥, I'm afraid) :3
Big Bang - DaeSung. TaeYang. (damn it, everyone is ♥ here as well!)
2PM - TaecYeon. WooYoung. JaeBeom.
SHINee - KEY KEY KEYYYYY. Onew.
After School - GaHee (so what if they're girls? She's awesome!)
Dong Bang Shin Ki - YooChun. And everyone else.
B2ST - DooJoon. YeoSeob.
MBLAQ - Mir (Bang Chul Yonggggg!)
Brown Eyed Girls - GaIn
SS501 - HyungJoon (I'm starting to get into them :D)

That's all for now, I have yet to listen to U-Kiss, FT Island, F.Cuz (though they look promising) and SHU-I.

Making memories.
December 16, 2009 10:14:00 PM

I'm afraid I've been neglecting this blog. I mean, if I remember correctly, this time last year I was writing every single day.

I'm not a bad blog owner. I just don't have time.

In case you're wondering, I'm writing this from a house in the country that I lived in for 11 years. Still haven't guessed where? Tough.

I don't give answers away that easily on the internet.

And if you think I'm mean because I act like this, tough. If you think I'm always like this in reality, looks like you never really knew me at all then.

So what have I been up to? Nothing much, really. Let's see. Basketball on Monday, today and tomorrow. I have never played so much basketball in my life, and I think I'm getting better. Nothing compared to Kelvin, but he's practically pro.

Anyway, it's more fun when we all suck at it. Damaging each others brains is especially fun (I'm sorry to all the people I've knocked down/hit with the ball/hit with my hands/tripped over so far, but I like my sports. Makes me competitive).

I'm starving.

I've also learnt a hell of alot about my friends, ex-school and generally, life without me in the past 4 days.

Once again, I'm sorry, but sometimes we have to find these things out, even if it means sacrificing reputations. Or even playing pranks.

*

Another reason to love TV here: We have KBS.

What does that mean?

We have Music Bank! :D

And?

IRIS airs at 9pm today!!! :)

Scream-worthy.

*

I have a dent in my head.

I'm officially a haphazard in shopping malls. Especially the ones with the Christmas deco sales right now.

Thanks to everyone who told me to go to the hospital (that means you, @Pilot <3) but I was just exaggerating. Though my dad DID say "Hey, there really is a dent!"

*

Everyone wants to go on a "date" with me.

PLEASE stop calling it that.

It's getting a bit creepy. -.-

*

I'm sitting in a house god-knows-how-many-miles-away-from-school...

But I'm doing Japanese homework.

After this, Maths Methods, then Advanced General Maths, then Visual Communication, then (finally), English.

English I am NOT looking forward to.

I hear jingle bells...
December 11, 2009 5:46:00 PM

Guess what?

It was the last day of school...!

I've been waiting for this day for two weeks ㅠ.ㅠ

Thank God it's finally here. :)

Two weeks til Christmas! My fave holiday of the year! *Jumps up and down

So... Kris Kringle during lunch, I got earrings and a photo frame from Suelyn (Thanks Suelyn, I ♥ you!), but now I gotta look for the shoelaces on my own LOLLLL

Then I went off to find Cass and all and we had a photo session in the hallway, haha. The teachers and all were looking at us like we were dealing drugs or something. I'll never see Ms Minn again! ): She was my fave teacher ever! Well, maybe tied with Ms Reid, LOL, but they're different.

Well, at least Ms Minn exists in the world of facebook :D

*

There are two mynahs outside my window, nodding their heads like they're agreeing with my typing. Singing as well. They're probably here to eat the ri-

OOOH YOU EVIL LITTLE BUGGER!

Magpies are so scary sometimes ><

*

I'm hungry.

And sleepy.

And every other somethingey-body function you can think of.

*

Everyone was so nice to me today..

Geez, I'm going on holiday, not dying -.-

*

And I have not lost that debate on Noetic Science yet, @Arif :3

Sign - Brown Eyed Girls
December 10, 2009 10:26:00 PM

New layout! I was going to put an mp3 player at the top where my blog hit counter is, but the icons under the bar refused to budge, and the bar ended up covering it. Scrapped that idea.

I'm excited. Why?

Because tomorrow is the last day of school, that's why. Anything else apart from that, my lips are sealed and nothing can unseal them, even if you blackmail or bribe me, I'm not budging. Just like the cute little icons at the top of my page. :)

Jiv made me create to new characters, Kitty and Ken. First I drew Kitty, because I felt like it. And because I want her hairstyle. They're kinda based very very loosely on Vampire Knight's Yuuki and Zero (because I love Zero, who can resist the vampire hunter who's a vampire?) After I did Kitty I kinda did this chibi type (my version of chibi's, that is) and chibi Kitty was chucking a can at this chibi dude, and it rebounded off his head. Jiv made me draw the guy in non-chibi-form, and I did, basing him very loosely on Zero.

She started laughing then. I asked her why. She said that she could totally imagine how he teases her and she chucks stuff at him to get him back. She said he looked like a Ken, so we named him that. When I scan it, I'll put it on here, then you'll know what I'm not about :)

I've reached 250 posts, with the 10 drafts excluded. Why do I keep them? Just because. I don't like deleting stuff, and some of them make a good random read.

Somebody please find me an inbuilt mp3 player like @Alia-chan's old one! D:

I feel like changing my blog url. For certain reasons. No, not because of the total Random in my cbox, I don't think he/she's any kind of threat. Kinda interesting, in fact. Just cracking my head and causing half of my brain cells to disappear over who it might be. No, I'm just getting fed up with a certain something that doesn't know what it's doing.

I dove right into Kris Kringle spirit this year. Took me 3 years to finally get into it, but I did it. Nothing much, but I decorated it as nicely as possible. :3 They better like it, it took up an hour of my homework-time just wrapping it.

I AM NOT PROGRAMMED FOR WRAPPING PRESENTS.

Speaking of 3 years, my iPod decided to get corrupted at the time when we needed it the most. So.. 3 years worth of songs and videos... gone. Luckily we got into the habit of saving the songs in an external harddrive last year, but the songs before that... are gone. Which is, literally, all my Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance, Breaking Benjamin, Simple Plan, 30 Seconds to Mars, and half of my Linkin Park collection gone.

In.. hmm, less than a minute?

Shows how much we can't rely on technology sometimes.

All good things come to an end.
December 05, 2009 8:36:00 PM

Yeah, like that Nelly Furtado song, only that certainly wasn't a good thing and thank god it came to an end.

I woke up at 9 today, all on my own, surprisingly. No artificial noises to wake me up, or my sis yelling at me, oh no. This time it was a stomach ache. ㅠ.ㅠ Let's see, when was the last time I woke up with a stomach ache? Oh, right. When I was having exams. Was I having an exam today?
No.

Put the kettle to boil (not to be taken literally) and then washed the bottle that I left in my squash bag for a week (disgusting, I know). The tap and the kettle decided to have a competition to see which one would deafen me first. I think the kettle won.

Vomit at the train station (not me!), which was pretty disgusting. 3 guys drinking VBs on the tram at 10am in the morning is a pretty scary sight. I told myself that I'd do my best at today's training, since it'll be my last.

W-ell... I didn't.

Why?

Because it was just Andy and me, that's why. No Robbie, no Jack, no Adam, no Amiel (not that they all come at once, mind you). And Andy had to take it lightly because he has a tournament tomorrow (which I know nothing about ㅠ.ㅠ) And then he left at 12, which gave me 25 more minutes to have one-on-one training with Mark.

I'll be honest, I nearly cried. The last time I'll ever see Andy again, and he didn't even say bye to me ㅠ.ㅠ (but that wasn't why I nearly cried). It's just that I've been going for squash training for, what, nearly 6/7 years now? And then to just stop like that... it's pretty hard.

I mean, it's fine when you really don't like it (and trust me, there were days when I hated it) but if you like it then it's a problem. And I loved it.

Oh well, another chapter in my life's book is now closed. Like so many others.

But, you know, that's what best friends are for. :3

Now, why are all my best friends guys at the moment?

Bye Kooyong. It was nice knowing you. I'll miss you.

Of year 11 and flies.
December 03, 2009 6:29:00 PM

Okay, so I said that I was back, but I don't remember saying that I was off school...

First week of year 11 is almost over... and it still feels like I'm in year 10. I nearly cried in Physics today, I don't know if I'll survive it. :( I'm such a coward, people in Malaysia started doing Physics and Bio and Chem THIS year... and I can't even take 3 lessons. They don't h ave an option of dropping it either... and I do.

I think I might drop it in Year 12, Ms Chris scares the hell out of me when she talks about year 12. O_O

So... 4 days of year 11 and I've collected this much paper. Yes, this much. It's amazing how many trees we're cutting down just because we haven't bought our textbooks yet.

*Sigh.

I'll survive the next week first, then I can concentrate on surviving next year.

Fact about starting year 11 in the same year as year 10:
Everyone, let me repeat, everyone keeps referring to year 10 as "last year". Me included. Even the teachers. The school shouldn't do this, we're confusing the hell out of ourselves.

Japanese today was hilarious. Well, at least for me. And Evelyn. We had this Japanese volunteer come in, right, to practice speaking with us. She asked me what I was doing this weekend. I said I was going to a party. She asked what party. I answered part-time job.

EPIC MEGA FAIL. OTL

I guess I can blame Karishma and Suelyn, they answered part time jobs before me so the word was stuck in my head. xD

When we had to write kanji (and since I'm feeling big-headed I'll say that I'm kanji queen in class right now) on the whiteboard, I started writing in Korean. LOL. I'm a very confused person. I wrote "I love Super Junior and Big Bang and Dong Bang Shin Ki and SHINee and 2NE1 and 2PM." Evelyn came out of the little room where her group were doing the talking, circled Dong Bang Shin Ki and SHINee, and rubbed out Super Junior. I hit her for that. >)

Then we spammed the board with random korean words like "Why?" and "Kim JongHyun" and "Lee DongHae" and "You're wearing a wedding dress" (because we're currently obsessed with the song) and my crappily written (in Japanese) "Doushite kimi wo suki ni natte shimattan darou".

Then Ms Witt rubbed it off. T3T

Eve and I wondered if we should ask the Japanese girl whether she knew Tohoshinki. So we picked up the leftover sheets of paper on our desk, went up to the front desk, put it on the desk, got thanked by Ms Witt, stood there for a few seconds wondering what to do, looked at each other and went "Nah." Walked away.

EPIC MEGA FAIL #2

Aren't we awesome? :P

*

There was a fly on the train Metro today. God knows why they call it Metro now, who cares whether it's Metro that's running it, it's a freaking train. So don't you come and tell me that "The Metro is now arriving at blahblahblah."

Anyway, about the fly.

I think it was a bit retarded, it was flying backwards. No Kidding. It was right next to my head, flying backwards. It even hit the window backwards. You know when flies hit windows they kinda make that buzzing noise and then slide down the window?

Well, this fly did that. Only backwards. So it's wings were against the window. It was really freaky. After that I watched it clean itself. I swear, I've never met such a vain fly in my life (and I've met alot of flies in my life).

*

Days to holidays: 7 days.

*

I'm supposed to be cooking dinner, but I'm procrastinating. Looking for a new blog skin is way more important anyway. ;)

I haven't watched Naruto since forever. I wonder if he managed to bring Sasuke back from Orochimaru's evil clutches. Care to tell me?
