Today shall just be about the current obsession in my life right now: basketball.
Shocked?
It will be until the others start school, then my basketball season is over.
Today's game was probably the most interesting one out of all of them. How many have I played so far...? To count... 4. Which is weird, because I feel like I've been playing everyday, when I really haven't.
Anyway... today. Today was the funnest. And also the day with the most casualties. We also played with a total stranger. ;)
*All written in third person. Casualty #1: Yin and Ai Ai saw the ball coming. She also saw Yin coming at her. She jumped, and so did Yin. They both collided in the air, Ai's hip hitting Yin's hip hard. She caught the ball while Yin stumbled off to one side, clutching her hip and moaning. It hurt like hell.
Casualty #2: Nisa and Hsien Annisa stared at the boy that had just entered the basketball court. He seemed familiar to her somehow, yet she couldn't place where she had seen him before. If she had ever seen him before. He looked like one of her friends. Hsien thought that Nisa was staring at her, because the boy was behind her, and she threw the ball at her. Nisa saw the ball coming, acting quickly to catch it, but it slipped through her fingers and hit her in the mouth. And she wore braces.
Casualty #3: Loong and Wen Loong was caught. Ai was right in front of him, waving her hands in front his face to block him. He saw an opening with Wen right in the middle of it. He took the chance and passed the ball to her. She missed it and it hit her in the mouth. "We're all cursed!" yelled Yin. "Nisa has cursed us! Jampi!" She couldn't stop laughing.
Casualty #4: Ai and Yin (again!) Ai and Yin went for the ball. Ai caught it but Yin knocked it out of her hand. They both lunged towards it, and Ai stumbled and fell. She'd grazed her knee a bit but it didn't hurt that much. "That's karma," said Yin with a smile, pulling her to her feet. She then ran to the hoop and scored.
Casualty #5: Nisa and Ai (Poor Ai!) Nisa saw an opening and threw the ball to Ai. Ai wasn't prepared for it, she was thinking about other things, mainly on getting past the opponent in front of her. As Nisa threw the ball to her, she ran forward. The ball slid past her and hit her right in the chest. It hurt like hell. She massaged it, trying not to look so self-conscious, but Nisa was just making it funnier by trying to help her and Loong wouldn't stop laughing.
Casualty #6: Hsien and Yin (Yin again!) Hsien caught the ball and Yin was chasing her. Yin gave up and started running backwards, but their feet tangled and Hsien crashed to the ground. Yin fell on her, Hsien's shoe digging into her thigh. The sisters rolled around on the ground, yelling at each other. Hsien felt like she'd injured her ankle and Yin felt like she had a huge scratch on her thigh.
Then Loong decided to be smart and asked the guy who Nisa was staring at to play with us. He was like PRO. We were so nooby (and we purposely put Nisa and him on the same team ^^) In the end we ajak-ed him to come to breakfast with us. It was pretty weird because he talked so much. And he was one year older than us, only he looked younger.
