So last night I went to Melbourne Uni to watch this dance performance called
maelstrom by
flare dance.
One word:
awesomeSeriously. It wasn't just hip-hop, there was contemporary and ballet and jazz as well. I loved every minute of it. Did I mention that we went because
Daryl is in it? Seriously, he's one of the
best. I mean, the boy can
dance. And only after taking, what, a year of classes? He even choreographed one of the dances, and even though it wasn't one of my favourites, no doubt it was one of the best. Loved your solo, Daryl! You're awesome! :D
I so want to join when I get to uni. Which means I
have to get into Melbourne Uni! And which means that I have to start taking dance classes. Well, I'm not going for squash training anymore next year, so I'll have to take up something else.
I feel excited now.
There was this dance that was realy intense [it was contemporary ballet I think] and at the end the guy kissed the girl on the forehead and
everyone, let me repeat
everyone went "
Awwwww!" It was pretty funny.
OH. Did I mention that about three quarters of the small theatre was
malaysian? I felt like I was in Malaysia. Even the dance troupe was mostly asian, [One of the best ones was malay! He was sooo good! :D] there were only like 4 whites and only 2 or 3 whites in the audience. And they were cheering and all, it was so annoying. I felt like yelling
"eh, jangan bising!" at them because I was sure they'd understand.
Geez, Melbourne is getting overrun by asians. I don't like it, and I'm asian.
Should have seen all the guys last night! There was this guy who had
wooyoung's hair, and his friend looked a little like
junho [2PM] and one of the dancers looked like
henry [Super Junior - M] and another looked like
hankyung and there was this guy sitting in the front who looked like
YunHo. Gawd.
Oh, and we saw Paik Jinn [Pn Cheang's son]. My sis recognised him but I'd never seen him in my life so I didn't know. He does look like PQ though. :O
