The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
May 23, 2009 6:31:00 PM

Ok, weird title, but I don't know if anyone in Malaysia has heard of it yet. It's a movie about the Holocaust (and if you don't know what THAT is, you're totally disconnected to the world). And it's freaking sad!!!!!!!!! If you're planning on watching it, make sure you have a packet of tissues like Suelyn. But she only had that huge packet of tissues because she had a cold anyway. :D We watched it yesterday...

But let's just tell about the events leading up to actually watching the movie. :P

So after a drama-packed lunch, Suelyn, Christie and I grab our bags and head to the lecture theater... and then Ms Minn (our History teacher) tells us to catch a bus to Southland (the local mall) and meet her outside the cinema at 2.50. So yea, nothing wrong with that. :D

Then we got outside. Without blazers.

GAAASSSSPPPPPP.

Ms Minn said we didn't have to wear blazers!!! It felt awesome. :) Sarah ran across the road to check the bus time (because there are THREE bus stops opposite school) and that one came in 12 minutes. So Cassie and I sprint down the road to the other bus stop to check the time there while Sarah sprints to the one on the other side of the road. Cass decided to drop her bag while we were running so it landed on my leg. And it weighed a ton. xD

We got the one that Sarah was looking at since it came in 6 minutes. When we were gonna cross the road, the school van comes up and Ms Merrick and Ms Jarvis are in there staring at us. I ran across the road laughing because Ms Merrick was just glaring at us because we weren't wearing blazers. Ahahahah.

So the bus came, we all got on. We were like the only ones on the bus. Woot! It was Ellen, Sophie, Cass, Hana, Sarah, Charlotte, Christie, Suelyn and me at the back. It was funnnn. I went super high. Like at House Music. :D We started waving at this guy in the car next to us and he waved back. Then he stuck his tongue out. And we all went, um... okay. And we stopped waving and ignored him. xD

When we got to Southland, we went to the cinema then while the others went to McDonalds, I followed Cass to Aldi because she wanted to get... grapes. LOL. It was funny. She was like
"I want grapes, I want grapes, I want grapes." and people started staring at us. Ahahahhaha. Then we kept on going back and forth to the sweet booth because she couldn't make up her mins what she wanted. :D In the end she got one of those huge lollipops and 2 packets of musk sweets. They taste really weird. O.o

When we finally got back to the others, I tried dragging Cass with me to the toilet but she went to buy a drink. xD She went on a food-shopping spree. For a movie. Anyway, Suelyn went with me because, to put it in her own words: "Just to make sure you don't get raped." Umm... thanks? xD

Then we gave Ms Minn the money for the tickets, she got the tickets, then Charlotte, Suelyn, Christie and Sophie decided they wanted to get something from McDonald's. OMFG. We went back and forth from that place like 5 times.

We were in like gold class!!! Well, something like gold class. Maybe a level lower than gold class. BUt the seats were niceeeee... (: Plus there were only like 7 other people in there with us. Cassie was so LOUD. I think she had a major sugar rush. xD

The movie was freaking sad. Won't spoil anything, don't worry. :D Not ashamed to say I teared up a bit. So did Ms Minn. Hehehehehe. When it ended no one really knew what to do. I swear. We all sat there until the credits finished. Really!!! It was pretty funny. Christie and I were like wtf... what do we do now. It was actually really funny!!!

I never really watched a sad movie before so I didn't know what to do. Like when I watched the Dark Knight, just walked out. This time it was like... didn't know what to do.

All in all, it was a fun day and I didn't have Maths! ;)
